Kindergarten GRADUATION!

Adrienne is graduating from Kindergarten! This year has flown by and very soon I'll have a 1st grader! It doesn't seem possible.

Today her teacher had a celebration for the class. I took some pictures to show Mike. When I first got there, Adrienne made a dash for the cake, it seems as though the kids had to wait for their parent to show up to get their cake.

Adrienne and Colette

Adrienne and her best friend Annelisa.

You can't tell from this picture, but she was jumping up and down clapping when the teacher gave Jay his certificate (Jay's her "boyfriend").

Here's the teacher giving Adrienne her certificate.

I just missed the shot where you can see the certificate in her teacher's hand:

But here's Adrienne holding it:

The teacher said something about each child when she gave them their certificate. On the back of Adrienne's there was a note that said: "Dear Adrienne, It has been such a pleasure having you in my classroom this year. I will always remember you as the quiet, little girl who was such a delight to have in the classroom. You have worked really hard this year and have done a wonderful job learning everything that you need to know to get ready for first grade. Congratulations! I'll miss you next year. Come back and visit me! Love, Mrs. Horton" (Quiet! Pshaw!)

Adrienne said it was the "best day of her life".

There was also a school BBQ afterward, but I forgot to take pictures. It wasn't anything special though. Basically like eating in a cafeteria, only it was in an undercover area on the playground.

Yay! Congrats to Adrienne! Matthew is almost done with school and yesterday he said to me, "School's almost over Mom. Are we gonna have to find a new school for me to go to?" He didn't realize that you got summer vacations... anyway, what a fun thing! It's crazy when they get old and you realize that you are the mom of a kindergardner, or even first grader! They just don't stop growing...
