Farmer Colette

The kids were at my parents this evening and my mom just called to give me a tip about what Colette wants for Christmas. Here's a bit of their conversation according to my mom:

Grandma: Colette what do you want for Christmas?

Colette: A cow...a real one

Grandma: A cow? Why do you want a cow?

Colette: So I can be a farmer

Hmm, I think she'll be a bit disappointed. She's been a hard one to figure out what to get. Adrienne is very vocal about what she wants. The list changes, but when something is consistently on it for awhile I pay attention to those requests, so she's easier to shop for. Colette either wants every last thing she sees and so I can't discern what she is most interested in, or she doesn't say anything about anything so I'm still left guessing. When I realized a few weeks ago that Adrienne's gift tally was exceeding hers quite a bit I thought I'd better find out what she wanted. So I asked her, and she said she wants eyeglasses. Again, hmm. As far as trying to keep their gift tallies fairly even...I remember being a kid and paying attention to how many toys I got compared to my sibs, so as a parent I'm trying to avoid any drama ;-) But it's really not that hard because Adrienne's birthday is coming up so I can just set aside however many gifts I need to make it that way.

Anyway, baby's crying...toodles!

Thanks for the ice cream recommendations! I love....LOVE all the many ideas you have for Christmas this year. You are SO creative! Wow! Good luck with the cow thing! ha ha ha Maybe you can start simple like letting her grow some veggies in some small pots or something.
I think the last flavor I recommended was Haagen-Daaz Sticky Toffee Pudding and I LOVE Ben & Jerry's Everything But the....

I have a Colette as well! McKenna either wants it all or things that just aren't going to happen. You would think it would be easier than it is!

That is so funny! With the sounds of your presents though, I'm sure she won't be disappointed. I would love to see pictures of the FHE binder! I am really impressed with all your crafty ideas

Colette is so cute. I love it. What did she end up getting? I'm guessing you don't have a cow in your yard right now...-emma
