I have a hard time with these surveys because I assume that anything that I think is unique about me is something that is shared by many other people on this earth. Also, I've used a few of these on surveys, so repeats for those that have read those. And my final excuse/explanation is that since I had such a hard time coming up with these, I cheated a little and two of these are little known facts related to my family, and not me :-)

Also, I've used a few of these on surveys, so repeats for those that have read those. And my final excuse/explanation is that since I had such a hard time coming up with these, I cheated a little and two of these are little known facts related to my family, and not me :-)
1. My first two memories occurred under the age of one. This was verified by my parents. They are: Lying on the floor and looking up at the T.V. and watching the beginning to "Happy Days" - I remember the record spinning and the music. And lying on the floor and looking over and seeing my sister's friend's floor-length hair touch the ground.
2. I'm not really OCD or anything, but I have a few compulsive habits. I'm a compulsive list-maker...it's quite annoying actually. I'd like to just quit, but I really can't remember anything if I don't keep lists. One day recently I lost my list of things to do for the day in Target, and almost had a panic attack. I also type on my fingers when I'm nervous...started in high school with keyboarding, then when I went to school for Court Reporting I'd type in stenography. Now since I don't use the stenography, I switch back and forth. I might have been too embarrassed to share that one, but I have a close friend that does the same thing! - so it makes me feel like less of a weirdo.
3. Speaking of lists - I kept a running list of names that I liked that I might want to name my kids from when I was in 3rd grade. When it came time to actually use the list, Mike didn't like any of the names! But at least he had some good ones up his sleeve...he came up with the names for both Adrienne and Colette. If anyone wants to know what names were on my list let me know :-)
4. I was planning a solo trip to Europe (planning as far as researching and setting a date - no tickets purchased or money saved yet)...when I met Mike and married him instead. :-) No regrets there, but I really want to make it to Europe someday and Mike has no interest. Luckily Adrienne is really keen on the idea of travelling (she REALLY wants to go to Paris) and so I figure I can go with the girls when they're older, and maybe by then Mike will want to tag along too.
5. I am flexible in general, but I have very flexible ankles...I can sit on the floor with my legs straight out in front of me and touch my toes to the floor without lifting my legs. I didn't think they were so abnormally flexible until I went to a specialty shoe store to get fitted with some nice expensive shoe inserts for my plantar fasciitis. The man that fit the inserts was going on and on about how flexible they were and stressing that he'd seen MANY feet in his days :-)
6. I have a man-made dimple. A kid threw a box car at me when I was about six, and the scar creates a dimple when I smile. It's near the corner of my right eye at the top of the apple of my cheek.
7. This is a lot of people, I know - I consider myself a "Jack (or Jill) of all trades, master of none". Because of that, I can't seem to settle on what I want to "be" when I "grow-up". I have so many interests, I can't possibly decide on where to focus my efforts! (Good thing I don't need to be the bread-winner)
8. Here's an answer to one of my quiz questions on my myspace. I have sung in 5 weddings. The reason this is a good quiz question about me is because some people may know about 4 of them, but few people know about the 5th. I can't even remember whose wedding it was for, just the song I sang! The five weddings were: Rachel Lee (?) and ??? - "When I Fall In Love" by Natalie and Nat King Cole (sung with my chiropractor Dr. Harlan!...that was a little weird), Mystery Wedding - "Longer" by Dan Fogelberg (had to look that up), Linae and David Pickard - "When You Say Nothing At All" by Allison Krause, Stacey and Scott Pickard - "I Was Born to Give My Love To You" by Martina McBride, and Bryn and Mike Porter - "Consider the Lilies" written by my Aunt Marilee .
9. One of the family-related I'd mentioned: My dad's dad was born in 1886...so if my grandpa were alive he'd be 121! Actually I guess I can tie this back to being about me...He died a year before I was born and I always imagined that he ushered me off to Earth. As a kid I'd picture him peering down at me from the clouds and so I'd often talk to him.
10. The other family-related: Utah Senator Orrin Hatch is my second cousin (first cousins with my paternal grandma). Okay wait...my parents said second cousin, but I think that would actually be 1st cousin twice removed...anyone know which is right?

What an interesting post! I'm so glad you finally did it. I'd love to know what names were on your list that Mike didn't like. I had no idea about your abnormally flexible ankles. Rachel Lee, the one I know? I didn't know you sang at her wedding. This is such a great list!!
Yes, that Rachel Lee - are you still in touch with her? She is so sugary sweet...I love her!
As far as the names, I should have checked before offering. I have the list in a journal that is packed up for now. But, I sent my girls names to a friend through email awhile ago because they were having trouble coming up with a name, so here are a few:
Adelaide
Afton
Annick
Briar
Celeste
Chelsea
Deidre
Eleanor
Elisabetta
Embeth
Emelyn
Gwendalyn
Josephine (Josie)
Jubilee
Kiara
Lorna
Michaela
Midori
Moira
Mourica
Persephone
Scarlet
Tabitha
Talya
Vanessa
Some I don't even like anymore, some were after people, and some I still really like! Celeste and Mourica were the first on the list and made it through all these years! I named my china dolls my grandma gave me Mourica and Celeste. The next best thing to naming babies when you're 8!
Funny though that the name we've settled on for this baby if it's a girl isn't on the list - Lauren. If it's a boy - Jeremy (also not on my list!)
